It is situated at 40 kms from Jagdalpur at 23°4’11″N 83°33’37″E. There is a beautiful waterfall amidst the dense forest near the caves at about 25 kms from Bagicha town in Jashpur district.
These underground caves are buried deep in the forest close to the Teerathgarh waterfalls. The speciality in the cave is the spectacular formations of limestone pillars hanging down from the roof and rising from the ground. It is millions of years old, set in a hill, about 200 metres long, 35 meters wide and 55 metres deep. Some of the pillars have markings, indicating that they have been worshipped as shiva lingams.
