The unshaken voice to every person’s rage against repression, Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal, is an individual who has not only shown immense dedication but has also campaigned tirelessly for change and paved the way for greater representation of the State of Chhattisgarh.
Mr. Agrawal started out young as a significant anti-imperialist, socialist and a full-time activist fired with an outraging fury against oppression. A student at the Durga College (Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University), Mr. Agrawal had played a key role in building up ABVP (Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad) in the State. A firebrand leader in his college days, Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal staked his life for revolutionizing the State for a better future. Be it as an extremist, to go an extra mile to claim what rightfully belongs to his people; as an activist, to always support what is right and oppose the wrong; or as a ‘tooth-for-tooth’ strategist, to set things on their right course of action without desecrating any rules or policies; he provided noteworthy changes in the fields of empowerment, education or correcting the very autonomous flaw, abiding by his own political thesis.
Currently, serving as the Cabinet Minister of Agriculture & Irrigation, Animal Husbandry, and several other departments, Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal was elected for the first time and as the youngest MLA in undivided Madhya Pradesh in 1990. It’s his constant struggle and will to challenge the deep-rooted unjust practices that set him apart from others at a very young age. He was conferred with the “Best MLA Award” in 1997.
Mr. Agrawal was one of the prominent faces in advocating the creation of the new state of Chhattisgarh as he realized that his people, culture, heritage, and land very well deserved an identity of their own. Not only this, Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal as a member of Bhartiya Janta Party, helped enormously in infiltrating the “Impenetrable Congress Fort” that Chhattisgarh was, as a newly formed state. He brought in a wave of changes and development along with other BJP leaders and helped in elevating the stature of BJP in Chhattisgarh.
